CYO basketball program
St. Francis Solano’s Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) basketball program presents a mail-in registration for its 2009-2010 season. The CYO is open to third-grade through eighth-grade boys and girls and registration for all players, new and returning, runs through Sept. 19.
New players must include a copy of their birth certificate. For registration forms visit flaconscyo.com or visit the Chestbed Store, 800 West Napa Street. Completed paperwork should be sent in along with the sign-up fee of $135, plus $85 for additional family members, to St. Francis CYO, P.O. Box 1663, Sonoma, CA 95476. Checks may be made payable St. Francis CYO Basketball.
Little League meeting
The general meeting for the Sonoma Valley Little League will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Round Table Pizza. All persons interested in being on the board of directors for 2009-2010 are invited to attend. The league will elect a president, vice-president, secretary and other officers. The meeting is open to the public.

Tournment
The Sonoma Valley Tennis Association (SVTA) announces the 2009 Marilyn Mertens Fall Tennis Tournament, to be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Maxwell Farms courts. The mixed doubles, round-robin tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Doubles partners are available from the SVTA and the entry fee is $20. To register for entry, mail your entry fee to SVTA, P.O.
