Film Festival fades to black

Photos by Melania Mahoney

The Sonoma International Film Festival rolled up its red carpet for another year Sunday night after four days and nights of premieres and parties. Lauren Hutton and Robin Williams brought the star power, the British band The Mastersounds brought the funk – both onscreen and live in concert – and filmmakers presented documentaries, shorts and features that screened at six different venues. Congratulations to Kevin McNeely and staff, and all the volunteers behind the scenes including the ever-busy members of the Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor 111. Awards for the 2010 event included:

Best Feature Film: Bomber, directed by Paul Cotter
Best International Feature: Snow & Ashes, directed by Charles-Olivier Michaud, Canada
Audience Choice, Feature: Outsourced, directed by John Jeffcoat
