Three musketeers busted
It started with a stop for an expired registration and ended with the arrest of all three men in the vehicle. Deputies on patrol near Trinity Road and Highway 12 spotted a 1991 Volkswagen Jetta with expired registration. The driver was on probation and subject to search and seizure. They found that the 35-year-old man, from Oregon, was in possession of concentrated cannabis, also known as hash oil or “honey oil,” and was under the influence of a controlled substance. He was accompanied by two 23-year-old men, one from Ukiah, who was under influence of a controlled substance, in possession of a meth pipe, and violating his probation. The other man, from Petaluma, was also in possession of hash oil, under the influence and in possession of a burglary tool (a window punch). All three were arrested and taken up to Santa Rosa.
Irritatingly intoxicated
At 6:23 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Glen Ellen Village Market, on Arnold Drive, due to reports of a drunk man harassing customers. He knew he was at the right spot when someone in the parking lot shouted out, “Hey, you looking for a drunk guy? He’s inside.” The man in question, a 54-year-old from Santa Rosa, was harassing customers and asking them for a ride to Napa. He smelled like booze, had an unsteady walk and used some unpleasant words with the deputy. He also had a box of Benadryl in his pocket that had been stolen from store. He was detained for being intoxicated in public, petty theft and for being in violation of his parole.

The name’s … Joe?
A deputy on patrol on West Agua Caliente near Highway 12 spotted a man riding his a bike around 1:51 a.m. without proper lights on. The 27-year-old male from Santa Rosa gave his name, but said he didn’t have any identification. The deputy saw that the subject showed objective signs of being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant and called for someone to come out with a mobile fingerprint identifier. The man was indeed lying about his name and was arrested.
Hitting up the vehicles
A man swung by the lobby of the substation to report a theft from his company’s 2007 GMC pickup the previous night. Someone had smashed the window, reached in and taken a cordless drill, a Blackberry cell phone, a Motorola truck-mounted cell phone and a Canon camera. The vehicle was parked on the 17000 block of Park Avenue at the time. The total loss is valued at $1,300.
A resident of the 200 block of East Agua Caliente also reported a theft from the previous night. Someone had smashed the left rear glass window of his 2006 Nissan Altima, and stolen a portable GPS system.
Not a harmonious household
A husband and wife living on the 18000 block of Riverside Drive got into an argument that turned physical. At one point, the man hit his wife with a ukelele, leaving her arm swollen and red. She did not require medical treatment. The husband, a 26-year-old man from Boyes Hot Springs, fled prior to the arrival of deputies and hasn’t yet been picked up.
